Arpege! I'm totally out of touch until I saw these COMPELLING ads about Bad Beverages. Most ads I didn't know what they were selling, but if the moral is misogyny or racism, all I was able to pick up is that beer is more popular even than Pepsi, and mostly bad beer; I got slightly ill from all the Bud Light, now that is BAD. Cute guy in Tuborg ad, girl goes through Cover Girl fantasies like in 1940 version of 'No No Nanette'. that 501 thing hilarious when they don't even dive, just jump.

thank you, thank you, you know how I like to be kept trendy without having to work too hard at it!

Oh god, all that beer! I can get 12-pack of Newcastle Pale Ale at Rite-Aid for 15 bucks, and that's for two apiece on Fridays only. I think these ads may prove all your objections to corruption and evil, but I couldn' help noticing that over half (I think) were beer ads, and the Pepsi ones caused nausea too. 'PepsiStuff' Pee-yoo. I think the world is going to the dogs.

  3. The point is what kind of supposedly "feminist" discourse is all about vibrators, chocolate and fucking? Whether pro or con? It would be like having to talk about beer and beer ads every time one introduced the topic of politics which involve men. Having to say "of course we shouldn't blame men for their complicity in capitalism but these fantasy girls and refreshing drinks and friendly contests with other men should not be all to which men aspire".

"of course we shouldn't blame men for their complicity in capitalism but these fantasy girls and refreshing drinks and friendly contests with other men should not be all to which men aspire".

This is a cheering sentcnce, with wonderful and only moderately ignoble construction, because I can see that men should now aspire to 'complicity in capitalism', even if they hadn't been blamed for it before, because if they weren't complicit in it, then all that left were the girls and the transgendered people to have been complicit. Oh hell, maybe the men did that too: Blankfein and Mack gotta have something to do when they're not buying pollution rights (I don't know if that's part of the job profile). So they can blame the ads they make about giggly women on the women that agreed to make the ads, and we can put up new posters that show the giggly women and in all caps 'THIS EXPLOITS FULD AND THAIN!' and those two would believe it too. Anyway, we know that Thain may have had cosmetic surgery, and that should go into the 'frivolour Sex and the City' type of consumption, even if his antique commode was bought for the good of the Republic (since at Merrill you simply couldn't do a deal unless your curtains cost a certain amount. I don't think Andrew Cuomo has had much luck with that particular Uriah Heep yet, has he? I noticed that bio details on Thain when he was 'hot' were not easy to come by. She's tried to lose the Midwestern part to the Park Avenue coop part. Her face looks like it's going to crack if she smiles too much, much like aging Hollywood harlot types would carefully smile after their facelifts. But you have to remember that it's already been over 10 years since New York Magazine lampooned gymmed and shaved men with an article called 'are Men the New Women?' And men are often grooming themselves to be hairless and exquisite. I don't know how that movie 'Children of Men' plays into all of this, because I haven't seen it.

    ♀WOMEN IS NOT FOR DECORATION!♀

Yes, they is, and men is too, but not only decoration. And people shoudn't have to be decorative unless they enjoy it as part of 'communist revelry', as described in ancient Qlipoth Archives...

I think men watching ball games on TV and doing beer and getting loud is very non-decorative, which I will add to Arpege's 'beer and beer ads for men's politics'. There are many ways of turning men into sissies, and I was a teenage sissy as a result of some of these beer esthetics. I had to butch it up later, but I never was able to do the Super Bowl 'n' beer 'n' potato chip dip, with or without girls acting like bimbos in bikinis from b-movies by the pool, I just added the Oscars and most of the rest of TV to that, and became a top with 'beta tastes', a new term from Anodyne. Yes, I guess George Bush is considered 'Alpha', and you would see the difference between him and me while he watched 'The Nutcracker': It makes him look like Jed Clampett, and I just get all the more suave with each arabesque and developpe. (is my 'gaming' working, Arpege? Aren't you going to take me to POB? See, 'Mystery' wouldn't get to first base with you, he never een heard of the Garnier. Enquiring minds want to know...)

Arpege! Are you reading Perverse Egalitarianism? He KNOWS his music from a hole in the ground. I don't think he would mind if you skipped your Nair Bikini Line one day. I mean, he's got Meyerbeer, goes to all the Met HD, Shostakovitch for days, this is Mikhail Emelianov, and I bet he doesn't drink Bud Light either. He can be a pain in the ass, though, but how many bloggers know from Meyerbeer? Not that that helps that much with life in general (The Huge Huts, for example), but probably even less with the revolution. But he had GREAT video of Boulez's 'Rituel; In Nemoriam Bruno maderna' with commentary by Simon Battle, which talks about gamelan influence; I know the piece, but never thought about the 'Indonesianism', which apparently is more hidden than in Cage, which aims to sound like the real thing when done on prepared piano (and many find that this just sounds out of tune...but they can't get used to the microtones in the Eastern music and also Harry Partch made instruments with the microtones made material keys, strings, and friends still say they hate it, that it's 'out of tune', but they're old queens by now and just read the letters of Mme. de Sevigne, etc., and the Lucia books. I liked it in a concert by dean Drummond (the custodian of the instruments) in the 90s. You should check out that blog, though, even though Mikhail is full of all manner of cussedness with Sinthome, etc., but I don't care which of them's fault all that is.
